Jocelyn Seizing, A Moment (5 of 5)

Gurgling again. It wasn't Jocelyn this time.

Death Rattle and Roll
The young man with the Justin Bieber haircut was seizing again. He began twisting in his chair and was about to fall out. The young man with the choke hold was losing grip and I sensed his desperation.  Went over to the curly haired man and asked if needed assistance. His voice seemed calm, but his eyes were troubled. He didn't answer me, he was still on the phone. He was losing control and he needed help. Guess all that gurgling and coughing got to him

People Change, We All Go Through Transformation
It finally got the other people’s attention. Thank goodness. One lady asked if he can use some water. Another walked to front of the store to get a manager. Another helped prop the seated one up. The young man, was really a boy.

Saying All the Right Things, But He Needs Guidance. He needs a Sidekick
He said,"Everything is alright. Mike has done this before." Devon, the curly haired one had brown napkins on the next seat. He said again. "I've handled this before. But I had doubts. Normally, when someone is helping another get through a seizure, it common practice to place the victim down. Holding them up by the neck,I'm pretty sure, is not in the manual. Plus, lying one down, can ease vomiting problems. Putting your hand in a seizing person’s mouth may not be so wise. Could lose a finger or two.

Devon was a young man. People lose brain power in time of crisis. He needed help and I just read my comic book graphic novels. Plus, I just saw Thor. I was pumped. Now is time to be a hero. Devon was Batman. and I was going to play Robin. (Nightwing if your avid comic book reader).

I Get By. . .
Started humming as more people arrived. It was that Beattle classic, written by Paul McCartney, from the Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Heart Clubs Band album, “Oh I get by with a little help with my friends” It seemed to lighten the mood, which is always good in a tense situation.

Had to commend Devon for being so calm during the episode. Its not easy dealing with a seizure at such a young age, actually any age. Spoke to their mom about what happened. Spoke to Mike and said it happens. No tears, no worries. Gave Devon a pat on the back and gave some advice in the future on how to handle the situation if it happens again. And No I did not discuss the finger in the nose.

What I Learned Today
Moral of the story is that we got lucky this day. Could have turned out a lot worse. We pick up things every single day. We learn things that may seem useless. May seem childish. However, life has a way putting us in position armed to make a difference. With Comic Book dreams and knowledge of palmistry. We think it doesn't matter. It does. It all counts. We may think we do not have an impact. It does and we do.

Reading or writing about heroes may give one the courage to step up when others pretend nothing wrong. Maybe it is that little bit a trivia one picks that can help in the problem solving process. Maybe it is calling 911 or offering a drink of water. We all have something to contribute. Just knowing that other people are there helps us get by.

Another piece of advice: Pick your own nose, not others.

Jocelyn Seizing, A Moment (4 of 5)

“Call 911” I shouted at the front desk receptionist,. Caught Jocelyn before hit the the floor. "Get Glitter, too."

Joys of the Gym
Working at the gym, one becomes familiar with calling 911. There was the heart attack when the guy did too much cardio. As we were sitting and talking, he became diaphoretic and speech became slurred. We were talking about his recent balloon pump surgery and I thought, “Here we go again.”

Other time was when 15 year old kid, just collapsed in front of me. His breath smelt sweet as I was starting the ABC’s of CPR. Airway, breathing, circulation. Must have been diabetic something. I am not sure.

Anyways, Jocelyn was staring into space. That gurgling sound again. Might be swallowing her tongue. Thought about fishing with my finger. Decided against. I feared she was going to have a grand mal in a second.

Heard a Message On the Radio
Earlier that day, on the way to work, I heard on the radio about the process of seizure. It discussed the electrical process in the brain short circuiting. There was discussion about laughing and epilepsy. When am I ever going to use this? Must have not gotten story right. This can't be right.

Glitter, the head trainer, and I put Jocelyn down on the floor. Her stare started to glaze and she was going seize.  Then I did it. I stuck my finger in her nose.

Huh?
Glitter looked at me. Joceyln  eyes focused, and her face lit up. I just sat there. . . with snot on my finger. Yeah snot, not mine. Jocelyn’s snot. Gross!!!  She sat up and all three of us looked at the clear glaze of my index finger. It was a sight. A pause hung between us, as if something magical was about to happen.

It did.

We all started laughing. Oh my Gosh, didn’t think it would work, but if we could make her laugh maybe we can disrupt the electrical storm in her brain. It is not like she is an electrical outlet. Who knows? Just try it. Stupid things we rationalize and do, I can’t explain.

(THIS IS NOT ACCEPTED MEDICAL PRACTICE. I DO NOT ADVISE, CONDONE, OR PROFESS THIS IS AN ACCEPTABLE MEDICAL PRACTICE OF HANDLING A SEIZURE. CALL 911 AND FOLLOW THEIR PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED DIRECTIONS)

All I can say with certainty, is I just got lucky. We all did.

AGAIN, CALL 911 IF A PERSON IS HAVING A SEIZURE. Here's a link on what to do with a seizure Help-Someone-Who-Is-Having-a-Seizure link.

Sticking your finger in another's orifices will not guarantee friendship or stop seizures. This I can say with certainty. (Well you might make a friend. Depends if you use your knuckles and give it a corkscrew twist. I digress again. Sorry)

Jocelyn Seizing, A Moment (3 of 5)

. . .Until the Next Episode
Thought of Jocelyn. We worked together at the gym. She was a good trainer. Thin and had a gimpy arm. She had a birth defect and was prone to seizures. At times, she tried to hide it. I remember most is her curly, curly hair. Not a great trainer, but had a good heart. Guess, this why people liked her.

We were talking at the front desk at the Van Nuys store. She finished with her client. Third one in a row and she hadn't had lunch yet. She looked a little peeked and I feared that she might be pushing herself. She’s had episodes before and well. . .I got that vibe again.

Gurgling sound brought me back. I can't be the only one hearing this.

Just Didn't Seem Right
Stared at the two young men in the death embrace in Barnes & Nobles again. It looked more like he was trying to hold the person up, then strangling him. That gurgling sound and the hand on the throat gave me doubts, though. Curly haired man had a calmness and deliberateness.  It was just not adding up.

Seated one wearing the blue shirt was a bit overweight. He did not struggle, but he shook. His arms were to his side, but his eyes were white. Eyes must have rolled back. Mucous was coming out of his nose, like glazed milky gummy worms. A gurgle sound again and the milky worms would retract back into his nostrils. Not a pleasant sight.

When one is choking, their hands instinctively go to their neck. (Thank you, NCIS and JFK Zapruder film) He coughed and shook, but I sensed a practiced deliberateness in the standing one. The young, curly haired  man put his right hand in the other’s mouth. This didn't seem right. The seated one is choking and he doesn’t know CPR. Okay I thought “CPR powers activate.” Not the most rousing or original comic book battle cry, but it did set off the fight-or-flight response in me.

Thought to myself, why aren’t the other people doing anything? Are they Blind? Am I the only one seeing this? They were in the Barnes and Nobles Starbuck’s CafĂ©. No one was doing anything. Why???

Answering the Call
He fished in his companion’s mouth with his finger. Relationship between the two I still hadn't figured out. Maybe brother, maybe friend. Then, he reached for his pant’s pocket and pulled out his IPhone. He dialed with one hand held his companion with the other. Probably not felony. Thank goodness for that. Still this young man needed help. Guess, it was Thor calling or maybe it was Gabriel, either way it was time to get up. The blue shirted kid was shaking and coughing. The other one must be calling 911.

Jocelyn Seizing, A Moment (2 of 5)

Curly Hair With Outstretched Arm
As I read, couldn't help notice a lady with a bad perm staring at her hands. Every couple of minutes she would put the book down, look at her hand, then look at the book. Her left hand was skinnier than the other. Gimpy. Thought she was having a heart attack at first. Book in her right hand, then she would hold her other arm stiffly. She rolled her wrist as if in pain. Then I noticed the title of the book and it made sense. Palmistry.

She traced her hand from top to bottom. She was measuring life line. Head lines go from left to right. Folds in her palms told her destiny. "Girdle of Venus" and "Simian Crease" she mouthed quietly to herself. Noticed the cross around her neck and I thought, Funny. Roman Catholic I guessed, Filipino, based on the tonality of her phone call. During times of Inquisition, the idea of astrology, palmistry, and the reading entrails would mean excommunication or at the least a beating.

Useless, Really?
Started thinking Jocelyn. Started thinking about a post to write. We pick up seemingly useless pieces of information all the time. We are sponges. We take time reading stuff that we probably will never use in life. We do this all the time. Palmistry, astrology, and Feng Shui. Useless, but fun to read. But really, is it useless?  We can dissects one's personality by their birth date and creases on their hand. We can learn how to adjust one's life, by rearranging the furniture in his home. Centuries these practices existed and we dismiss them. Its a bit like reading comics. We think it is for children. In many ways, its more than that. Its a way how people relate.

Problem Still Here, Felony Again
Then I heard it again. It was deep, rattling gurgling sound. No, not Jocelyn. It was a young man standing over the seated one. Actually, I think they were either seniors in high school or freshmen in college. One’s hair was a curly, like younger version of less buff Carrot Top and Hispanic. His hand was at the other’s throat, arm outstretched,  and it looked from a distance that he was strangling the other one. Gurgling sound was a bit unnerving.

Someone is committing a felony—an assault—in  Barnes and Nobles and no one is doing anything.  Kitty Genovese again. At a gas station I frequented few months back had an incident. Crazy husband sprays gasoline over his and proceeded to follow her with a lighter. It happened few minutes after I left.

It seems so surreal when crazy stuff happens right in front of your face. Time slows down and you are watching a tragedy take place. I’ve been in a couple of car accidents before and watching this young man choking this other man in the store, time just slowed.

Thought of Jocelyn again.

Jocelyn Seizing, A Moment (1 of 5)

Might be a problem here.

ASSUME
Maybe it was the coughing and gurgling sound that got my attention. Maybe it was the way the young man with curly hair was standing over the seated in one in blue. Maybe his outstretched arm out pressed against the other's neck was an indicator that there might be a problem.  Perhaps it was when the seated man’s eyes rolled back. Neah, it was the gurgling that said, “I think there might be a problem.” I don’t want to assume.

We all know what happens when we Assume. It makes an ASS out of U and ME.

Funny thing, I was thinking of Jocelyn as the young curly haired man was strangling the seated one. Image of her face is something I cannot erase. Curly hair, wide eyed.

Gurgling sound. Oh, yeah, I digress. Let's start from the beginning

Mother's Day Excitement
Earlier this Sunday, I just finished watching the movie Thor. In 3D and in IMAX (If you are comic book fan, you would be pleased) Tried going to the Lancaster comic book shop, but just couldn't. Those days are over. It’s been too long time. Brings back too many memories.

Anyways, found myself in Barnes and Nobles (B&N) looking to kill some time. Couldn't get rid of this feeling. Maybe it was cabin fever, but I needed to do some reading. Couldn't stay home. Had a feeling the Lakers were going to get swept. Can’t explain, but when I get this vibe, I learned just Go.

Time Finds Us, and Shall Find Us, Unafraid
Sat there for a moment, read some tour guide books. Looked at Boston one. Thought of pledging my frat Sig Eps, catching a game at Fenway Park, walking home past the Citgo Sign and doing the Grape Dance at the Gubernatorial Celebration party. Thought how I got on the "T" and found myself in downtown Boston. I found the Golden Apple and it was like being home again. It where I found the Dr. Fate issue. Its where I read that Captain Marvel Graphic Novel post

Art is Said to Be a Reflection of Society
Sitting at B&N waiting for something to happen, I picked up a few graphic novels. Death of Captain America, Man With No Fear, X-Campus, and a Thor one, too. Just saw the movie. Needed to up my Comic IQ. Time flew by. Must have been there a couple hours catching up on some good reading. I missed comics. Read an origins issue. Read the death issue. Read about battling storm giants and teenage angst issue. Comics are at the forefront of many societal issues: Racism, puberty, disease, and war.

Lessons Learned, Lessons Taught
Learned many important life lesson via comic book experience. Learned how to read, Learned how to draw. Learned how to steal. Learned how to bargain and negotiate. Learned about stories and story telling. Learned of perspective and looking for clues in the little things. Of course, I learned of fighting and why one should fight.  Got a good understanding of religion and mythology, too. Learned the mighty power of people needing heroes in their lives. Learned the importance of being a sidekick. (Not all of us can be Paul or John. Some of us need to be Ringo.)

For influencing a child’s imagination and developing moral and spiritual character, reading the Bible and Torah are fine and well. There are tremendous stories; however, if you ask a six or seven year old boy which would they rather read. A Star Wars story or Kings James Version of the Bible—I’ll let you guess.

Jocelyn liked to read comics, too.

Day at the MOT

Thirty-one days of no Facebook. Got few messages, photo tags, group invitations during this internet sabbatical. It went by fast. May go again. At times, I would find myself automatically typing the "Facebook" web page once I launch my browser. Trained myself to be addicted to this website. I wanted to post some pictures of places visited. Other times, I wanted to get updated with the going on with family and friends. Nothing has really changed in my world since then beginning of the year. Guess I am long longing to be part of a community again.

Don’t know where this comes from, but it has. We all need to feel connected, to be part of something bigger. Yesterday, went to the Museum of Tolerance (MOT) with Sharmaine and her brothers. It was an event. Listened to a Holocaust survivor speak. Shook her hand actually. Wanted to make tactile connection with a real survivor in a dark, dark , dark time in history. Listening and watching her was nice, shaking her hand made it more real. She spoke for 45 minutes straight and I was enthralled. Her story started so innocently and to hear the decline of society happen so quickly, it bothered me.

Before entering the lecture, we stopped by some the interactive internet stuff. Looking up some of the texts, websites, and blogs out there in the world is disturbing to realize such entities still exist. Don’t want to say there is some ugliness in the world because putting it out there may draw some unwanted attention. Really don’t want some of that darkness in my head. The images are truly disturbing. How people can do such stuff to one another?

No one is really clean nor innocent. Admittedly, I was ignorant and I've and acted stupidly before. Trying to break this habit. No, I am not claiming to have found the light. All I am saying is that I am not so quick to label. Can’t speak for others because I don't walk in their shoes. Sitting on the cold concrete stone seats in the mock gas chamber made me feel ill. Looking up at the shower head wondering how people felt. Cold water or poison gas?  People like you and me being exterminated for some misguided belief system.

People have turned a blind eye when injustice and wrongdoing stares them in the face. I think of Kitty Genovese. I think of Zimbardo social psychology experiment. When I imagine being a subject of Milgram’s shock experiment, I am troubled how easy it is for people to lose sight at that the person across from them is part of the same species. Imagine the last time you were at a stoplight when there is a homeless person with cardboard sign asking for money.

Not all of us are created equal. There are obvious and various levels of talents, skills, motivations, and luck each of us possess. Not all of us can dunk. Not all of will be an astrophysicist nor will win a Nobel Peace prize. Not all of us will be President, but to forget that one next to them is not a human being. It is simply awful. Been more and more troubled of the scape-goating tactics of what is wrong in the world. Lately it has been the illegal immigrants that is ruining the country. Before the Chinese and Japanese. Before it was the Jews. Before that it was the Indians. The list goes on.

Found myself distraught by a kid sitting in front of us. He was young kid, maybe 9 or 10. He had the body of thirteen or fourteen year old. We were sitting in a lecture hall listening to the Holocaust survivor tell her story of Auschwitz. She told of how she can remember the smell of the smoke of the crematorium. Her mother and grandmother were sent there days before. The little big boy was fidgeting all around, constantly asking her mom when were they were leaving. He would make a squealing sound like a pig, begging for attention. He would run his hand of her mom’s hair. It reminded me of the flies walking on the faces of children that are starved in some third world country. It is bothersome, but they let it pass. I know she was ignoring him, not giving him the attention he wanted so. She was practiced not to encourage poor behavior. She was much better at it then I would be. Every so often his whispers would drown out what the speaker was saying. Admittedly I want to smack the kid and tell him listen and pay attention.

Then I realized that one of the kids sitting in the row, my relative, with us was playing with his Game boy while she was speaking. This, too, bothered me beyond belief. You see. Earlier he was so adamant about going to the Holocaust exhibit down stairs and getting some kind of plastic card. It was like going on a ride at Disneyland. Now we are here listening to an actual survivor of the dark time, it was a bit infuriating. Playing a game while this was going on. Made me shake my head.

I was learning the meaning of patience. Sometimes we need to put the fear of God to make an impression of some people. We need to effect an emotional response in order make people remember to make an honest impact. Still, I remained silent. A bit disappointed. Decided to use a the honey approach versus the vinegar one.

I, too, was blind and ignorant. The folly of youth to be not so vested. He does not know nor has he seen such ugliness that people can and have done to others. Listening to the speaker and watching him play the Game boy. In many ways, I hope he never sees what this lady has seen. I hope in many ways that the greatest worry is finding a girlfriend and getting to the next level of that video game. I rather have him suffer these minor setbacks then deal with the horrors of the speaker. When is the next time you will eat? Will you survive through the winter night? Will the search dogs find him and attack him?

I can only wish that the impact of visiting the MOT will have an impact on his life. Hope he never learns the hard lessons of life these other people have faced. Still, there is Hope. “There is always Hope when people remember.” These were the words in green neon lights that were on the walls of the mock gas chamber.

For me, I will remember. I hope he does, too. If the lady in front of me can survive the atrocities, then many others can, too. George Santayana said it this way, “ Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” If we can remember these hard learned lessons, then maybe. . .

Summer in September

Here Comes the Sun
Thursday, the day before the weekend starts. Sitting on BJs corner for a moment watching the sunrise. Its up already. Morning has started. Trains have passed and the cars streaming past. Days are shorter. Darkness comes sooner. Nights are colder. Autumn is upon us.

SAD
When the Fall comes, can’t help feel a bit sadness. Summer is soon gone, time to hibernate. Seasonal affect disorder(SAD)--It is. It is when some feel depressed. People sleep more. Eat more carbohydrates. They are lacking in energy. This has been my mood of late. Something is coming to an end. Ennui my company.

Entertain the Cells
If I were living anywhere outside of California, it would be much worse. Here in the AV there is sun 320 days out of the year. Its bright and I need the constant heliotherapy. Not the type to fake and bake. My photoreceptors need the energy du soleil. Got to excite the cells.

Lessons  Soon Learned
For many, it is time for school. My nieces started a couple days ago. One said she didn’t like this time of the year. She worries that she would have forgotten all the school lessons last school year. Her older sister doesn’t want to go because she is not with family. For both, summer has come and gone so quickly. Don’t have the heart to tell them each year it will get shorter as they grow up. Time just flies by and before they know it they will be longing for simpler times. That blur only gets worse. For now, I will just smile. It is a lesson they will learn themselves.

Hard To Let Go
On FB, I saw a post from a person I once knew. A good friend of long ago who seems to have taken leave from friendship. Haven’t heard from him in years. My grade school buddy, my middle school sleepover companion, my high school life friend . He was the one I could always turn to. I miss him dearly. We were neighbors at one time. My best friend through the sunnier times.

Seasons Change--People Change
However, life happened in the middle. Season changed. Summer left and Fall came quickly upon us. Our life rhythms went a different paces. My bloom to leave the AV happened sooner. His later. Hoped at one time to reconnect and share the summers again. However, nothing still. Made a request to let it go, but the desert landscapes reminds me to stay the course. Fall would be longer for me.  His life went elsewhere and from I’ve heard his transformation had some difficulties.

Visionquest
I can relate. Needed to be away. Had to find my place in the circle. Needed to cocoon. Needed to be away from what I was so I can be who I am. During the transformation, it was not that  pretty butterfly moment. It was ugly. Not my best moments. Don’t much blame him for not wanting to be friends anymore. You see the stuff in the middle, well, it was not something I have been very proud of.

In life, some things you wish that it were different. For me, these are one of those things. Yet, life showed me that I can’t be who I am if it weren’t for the things that I’ve done. Simply, all the Bad and Good is me. Still, these lessons are hard learned and even harder to accept. It teaches that we want and need does not come cheap. The price paid for these precious gifts teaches us the values of little things and reminds us that we are all so very rich. So if and when these possibilities come again, you are not so apt act carelessly. It reminds us to spend freely Love. For the return is much exponentially much greater. So spend the love, get love, and be richer.

Meanings, Moments, Mine
What is great about this season is we can take a moment. We can remember and plan of better times. We can think back when the biggest worries in life were if you would remember the lesson from school last year. We remember shining moments with your family and “bestest buddy” forever and realize how precious these are.

Sunset
As the nights take up more of the twenty-four, one can dream more of better times that once were and about more fantastic days to come. Winter will come soon and things will end.  There’s no stopping that. One would not want to. A truth hard learned. However, the one lesson that my nieces will discover is that even though the summer ends more quickly, they will soon realize that the winter is not so cold and the Spring will here again.

So Brian if you read this, I’d like to know how the years have treated you and what life lessons you learned. Like my niece, I miss time with family, too. Can’t expect to have the memorable  summers swimming and at Winfield’s playing pinball. That is okay. Memories of our friendship has fueled this hibernation. Winter has been so long between us. Spring is more fun with an old friend.

So here I must go use this short sunny day, Summer still lives and Fall I am not quite ready for your visit. Yet.  Got to build on the banks of good memories. Need the stuff of pleasant dreams and possibilities of better springs. Need to ride those roller coasters of life. I need the stuff to keep my winters warm.

Unclog

Poseidon Adventure
Early Thursday morning. Day is about to start. Traffic rushes on by and the sun begins its climb overhead. Life is different compared to last week. It’s more stationary. Nondescript. Time for contraction. Time for introspection. Cocooning.

Where Were You Last Week?
Last week me found me sitting in a lawn chair in some unknown river in Del Sur. It found my cousin and I at Mel’s Diner in San Francisco debating whether to $5 in quarters on table top jukebox. Debating whether to play the same song 20 times in a row.(It was a tough decision) It found us in the Gonzalez local cemetery asking for direction to Big Sur.

Today's Observation
Today, sitting on BJ’s corner. Watching traffic rush by as several hundred flying bugs dance around my car. Mini wasps I think. Thursday it is. Weekend soon approaching. However, how is this day any different than other? Expectations and hopes can manifest at a moments notice. Friends and family members are Facebook post and email away. Don’t forget that phone call, too. Everyday is a choice.

Postcards: A Short, "I Am Thinking of You"
Just received a postcard from an old friend. It was nice. She visited a place that I was at couple weeks ago. I got her psychic vibes to show up. Got there a week early. Funny, she was down So Cal while I was in Nor Cal.

This postcard says to me an effort was made to let me know, "Hey, I am in your thoughts." Not the immediacy of an email or Facebook post. Effort was made. She put a stamp on it and mailed it. It's nice to get besides bills and junk mail. Think I rather get a postcard than email.

Here at BJ's corner, a Metrolink flies by, horn whaling. Six cars longs. Taking their passengers to some unknown location. Exciting.

What a Difference a Day Makes
Eight-four degrees yesterday. Prime swimming pool weather. Not too hot, not too cold. Just about right. USA Soccer won in the running time. It’s a unknown overtime for tied soccer games. Great win. "Never give up, never give up, never give up"--Winston Churchhill

Last Thursday, Rushing the Hearst Castle Tour, driving to Solvang for chocolates, and heading to Valencia to watch a Game 7  Laker game.

How's Your Progress?
How has your life changed from week to week? Day to day? How has the events of yesteryear changed? Good, bad, indifferent? Are you happy where you are at? Are you happy at the progress made? Is the place you’re in the place you wanted to be from a year ago. A year back, I was coming to grips with mortality. Struggling with weight gain due to diabetes and chf meds. Found myself running and swimming a lot. Trying to make headway on health stuff.

Looking for Inspiration, Finding Trouble Instead
Now things are returning. Not sure though if this where I want and need to be. More spiritual now and had seriously considered a priestly vocation. However, I read another article in the paper of another lawsuit against the Catholic Church. It is troubling to learn that one given the spiritual leadership responsibility again betrayed one’s trust.

Also heard on the radio of the governor wanting to pay minimum wages to workers. Heard on the radio that a city will letting go of all its government employees. We hear of the Mayor of LA is getting in investigated on because he attended basketball games and other functions gratis. Aren't there other things to worry about?

Good is Out There
Its troubling and disheartening that this is what dominates the airways. The general sense of ennui. Learned of the God particle (it was trending on Yahoo). Also learned that Sun cycle or dormancy is unusually quiet. Does the world need a reset? I mean with all the eeeehhh in the world it seems we are going through these times of unrest.

Albert Einstein said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited.
Yet, I find solace and Hope that people survived troubling times. People flourished.  Before there was the European Rennaisance, there was the Dark Ages. Watching a segment of the History Channel to discover that the Vikings, the Jews, the Chinese, and the Polynesian may have discovered America long before Columbus. I find Hope traveling to the Getty Center to look at Da Vinci’s statues and the Old World Bibles. I find Hope that crash from Area 51 may have spurned on the production of Fiberglass and Stealth technology. (Big things in Palmdale)

Whether these things are true or not. Whether you believe aliens landed on the earth, whether you believe sailors from Far East made all the way to California in a canoe. True or not it is idea that great things are done by ordinary people every single days. Albert Einstein also said, "When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking."

What's Wrong, Then?
Guess, the maxim “if it bleeds, it leads.” Has been bothering more than I care to admit. Talking heads tearing people down for whatever reason, not doing this, doing this, not considering this, failing to recognize that. When the climate to destruction goes counter to people’s spirit of construction, it this discontinuity brings a schism. A fault line in a soul.

Flower Power, Soul Power--Okay, Master Yoda
When a chakras are blocked, there is no Flow, no Force, no energy going through. No growth. Perhaps a roto-rooter needs to unclog this ennui. Guess, it starts me. Let everyone else follow. A higher purpose, a higher plan, a higher calling is needed and I am sure is in effect. Perhaps, it is everyone’s calling to overcome these perceived challenges. Some people wilt to pressure. Some people are hardened and forged by pressure.

Hendriatus
Whatever it is, perhaps, this is what needs to be reminded of. Leave nothing for the swim back. Leave your wrestling shoes on the mat. Leave a standard higher than one’s before us so as the future can do the same for us. In the circle of life, in the Olympic hendriatus --Citius, Altius, Fortius—perhaps this what we needed to be reminded of. History is a force.

Right now, it's time to Be Expansive. Anabolize, instead of catabolize. (at least for a little while) Create. Build. What is a man (or woman) that does not make the world a better place? (Don't you love movie quotes)

Okay my rant is over. I feel better. Guess, I need to unclog. Chakra opening. Let the good times flow.

Guess, I forgot What do we really have control of?

Our smiles and cries.
