Quick Dip

Air is stale. It’s warm outside. Wind blows little. Still it is  reason for a quick dip in the pool. Fan is blowing, pushing the unmoving air to cool. Autumn has not quite settled. She is moving in. Here and there.Bringing a little of this.Leaving a little of that before call here Home.

Its stagnant and temperature feels mid 80s.  Lighted blue calls, but she is deceiving. Her gaze is inviting, but will only deliver pain. She will sting, providing sharpened daggers to break the Will. The lady ask, "Did you jump in?" Her tone questioning my sanity. Defensive response Number 3, Minimize. Teeth still chattering as I try slow gasps for air, smile warmly and say, “Pool was brisk.”

Temperature shows 185 degrees. Sensor is broken. Why? Because they ascended when I jumped in. Twice. Friends are not happy.

Still, nothing is a better "Wake Me Up." A prayer and a dip. Washing away the desert air. Letting out the sins of the day.  Asking for forgiveness. Praying to be better than I the Jump. Letting go of yesterday, waking up for tomorrow and the moment is gone. Realization that one must move or freeze from the cold. Focus comes. Return to the Basics. Must be the foundation, I visualize Maslow's Lower needs. Air, Water, Survive.

So I jump. One needs to. Needs to find direction. Needs energy to get the cells moving. Shoving this way and that. Need to fire them up. To get all flowing in the same direction. To get the recovery started, one must  decide. Stay here and be part of the lights or jump.  Jump back into the fray.

Visualize green energy flowing. Going through the chakras. My jump in the pool. Close my eyes. Feel the bubbles flow as I glide through the water. Cutting through the liquid medium. Body is in shock, brought back in to action. Like an emergency broadcast message letting the body, its time. This shits for real. Immediate reaction to survive. This must scan. Got to get to the brain to wake.

Still one must maintain. Its keeping the body aerodynamics. Rigid and tight like an arrow. Its counter-intuitive. Body wants to shiver and shake to get heat back. Mind knows arms and legs flailing cause drag, slowing  momentum. Creating resistance. Initial leap needs to change potential to kinetic. Slow progress makes effort to  free one from the liquid prison much, much harder.  Blood flow from the skeletal muscles immediately leaves for the brain. Must choose: A limb or Grey matter. Choice is easy and immediate. Protect the lobes. Parietal  frontal, temporal, occipital--Activate. Protect  mind, protect personhood.

This crazed leap of madness brings calm and quietness to the immediate.  Not as thrilling as jumping out of a plane or escaping death from a Bengal Tiger. For now, it will do. Rationalize. Need to re-invigorate.  Need to find my balance. Get my chi right and get the energies flowing through dantians.  My Taiji pole needs to unencumbered. My wei qi fields need to close in. Expanding is done. Just need a good re-set. Gots to contract. Expansion causes a loss of focus, loss of direction. Chi goes where is needed or it stagnates. Go Flow Go.

Well, that’s all. My batteries are recharged. The ten dragons have raced the forest (Qi Gong exercise). My Bringing down the heavens and Trembling horse will be for another day.

Dogs are howling now. Streets are now sleeping and soon I will join them.
